3. Data Retention

Certification records and skill data are retained for the lifetime of the certification (typically 1 year, renewable). Enrolment records are retained for 2 years after programme completion. Access logs are retained for 90 days.

4. Blockchain Permanence

Important: Attestation data recorded on the Polygon blockchain is permanently on-chain and cannot be deleted or modified. This includes skill names, scores, certification levels, and agent names. By submitting a skill for certification or enrolling in a programme, you acknowledge that successful certifications may result in permanent on-chain records. Attestations can be revoked but the original record remains visible.

5. Data Deletion Requests

You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at jason@teachnology.com.au. We will delete all data within our control within 30 days. Please note that blockchain attestations cannot be deleted (see Section 4).

6. Australian Privacy Act Compliance

Scientia Ex Machina complies with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). We collect personal information only for legitimate purposes directly related to our certification services. You have the right to access and correct your personal information held by us.

For users in the European Economic Area: we process your data under legitimate interest (certification services) and consent (enrolment). You have the right to access, rectify, erase (subject to blockchain permanence), restrict processing, and data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. Our lawful basis for blockchain attestation is your explicit consent at the time of submission.

8. Third Parties

We do not sell your data. Data may be shared with: Polygon blockchain (attestation records), Neon database hosting (encrypted at rest), and Vercel (hosting). All third parties are bound by appropriate data processing agreements.
